Jacqueline Jennings is an entrepreneur coach, start-up consultant and group facilitator commonly referred to as Biz-Witch. What Jacqueline finds more interesting is learning about how we can get more done by doing less, how we can develop our intuition and instincts like any muscle in the body, how a leaders performance is directly impacted by how much they are willing to look at how they get in their own way and how everything we need to know to evolve, survive and thrive as the human race can probably be remembered by really looking at nature. OWNER, THE SOAP DISPENSARY + KITCHEN STAPLES
In 2011, Linh Truong opened The Soap Dispensary to address her concerns around packaging waste in everyday consumer goods. Her solution was to created a dedicated refill shop where customers could bring in their own containers and purchase most of their household needs without packaging. The shop has become a hub for Zero Waste living in Vancouver. In 2017, she opened Kitchen Staples, Vancouver’s first Zero Waste grocery shop bringing the number of refillable products to over 700 in her shop. She is excited to help usher in a new, sustainable way to consume and inspire a different way to run a business.
Dr. Genieve Burley is a Vancouver-based chiropractor and fitness instructor, recognized internationally as a wellness, anatomy and fitness expert. Genieve is an advocate of change and sits on boards in the community for cancer and accessibility to yoga for lower income earners, as well as organizing her own annual fundraiser, Cultivate Wellness In 2012, Genieve has been a guest contributor to international magazines and blogs, and regular on television appearances with respect to health and wellness from a chiropractic perspective. What excites Genieve the most is her passion about healing the planet, from a human perspective of waste reduction, better animal advocacy and healing hearts and bodies.
Jeff Penner and his wife Amanda started Minimoc; soft soled leather shoes for infants and children, in 2013. The first shoes were crafted as gifts by Amanda, but friends started asking to buy the shoes that were posted online. The couple decided to see what kind of demand there was for this type of footwear. Amanda focused on sewing the shoes and marketing through social media and Jeff worked on building the website, supply chain, and manufacturing processes. Through their tag team effort, the company has grown out of their home and into a factory with 20 employees. Today Minimoc is a nationally recognized brand for quality made in Canada shoes that stay on kid’s feet.

Tiffany is a mixed media artist who always wanted to find her own unique take on design, beauty & style. She has dedicated much of her creative career to diversifying her skill set in marketing, photography and design, working over eight years as Creative Director to local Digital Marketing company Booje Media and as a Content Creator to the one-of-a-kind home decor store, The Cross Decor & Design. Combining her passion as a layered artist with her savvy ability to market brands, Tiffany understands that both skill-sets benefit one another to create impeccable visuals that resonate. Matthew's mind sees the potential in everything around him. Inspired by shape and form, intrigued about composition and considerate of the impact of design, each of his creations is an expression of well informed vision and a finely tuned technical understanding of engineering and manufacturing. He believes in infusing passion into projects and by working collaboratively with designers and architects, he creates lighting as unique a space itself. From a simple, stand-alone fixture to large-scale illuminated art installations, each piece and project is well considered and consciously created. With the ability to take a simple idea and shape it into a compelling installation, his dedication to curiosity forms his process, material manipulation and conceptualization. As a philosophy, he believes that it’s not the sum of the parts – it’s the intrinsic value of how they’re put together.
Kate's training through both clinical counselling and nutrition, and plant-based science melds the bridge between the mind/body connection which lends to her specialization in eating disorders, mental illness, women's health and plant-based living, using food and the brain as a medium for change. Her education is local and abroad, from CSNN to Cornell and the school of hard knocks. She credits a diverse life that has lead her to a depth of understanding that engages clients in creative and meaningful change through food, mind and compassion.

Kirby has worked in tourism since the age of 13. Raised in Nova Scotia, he arrived in Whistler, BC within days of finishing a BCOMM in 1993 to snowboard and worked in a variety of roles before becoming a senior manager at Whistler Blackcomb in 1999. In 2007 Kirby became the President and COO of Panorama Mountain Village and negotiated the sale of the resort to local owners in 2010. After several years focused on supporting social ventures, he returned to tourism as the CEO of The Adventure Group, a Whistler based adventure company. He currently serves as the Chair of Tourism Squamish, sits on the board of the Squamish Sustainability Corporation and the Granting Committee of Community Futures. Outside of work Kirby spends time on his passion project, Playground Builders. a Canadian charity has built over 220 playgrounds in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Palestinian Territories bringing safe play to over 600,000 children daily.
Nicolette knows your mouth is the gateway to your stomach which is the key to wickedly good health. Orthomolecular nutritionist, organic zealot, guerilla healer and soil to belly entrepreneur, Nicolette Richer saw the need for clean, organic, whole, plant based food and founded the Green Moustache Organic Café. Starting with 1 location in Whistler Village, today there are 6 different locations and more are coming. Nicolette has recently realised a life-long dream to open up the Richer Health Retreat Centre to help even more people gain back their health using food as medicine.

Suz Graham has been on the front lines of marketing, building brand recognition, culture, and product development for over 10 years as a professional skier, action sports athlete, and ambassador to many international outdoor companies like Oakley, Red Bull, GoPro, Fischer, and more. She has spearheaded new and innovative marketing initiatives, and helped build brands and brand recognition across the outdoor industry. She has now brought these skills to the world of e-commerce by joining Shopify where she's helping entrepreneurs grow and building the entrepreneur community on the West Coast.
Susan Chapelle is owner of Squamish Integrated Health, a multidisciplinary clinic in Squamish BC and the founder of Aligned Collective, a not for profit community economic development accelerator that helps build local business capacity. She is currently serving a second term as a City Councillor for the District of Squamish and has recently completed an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration at Simon Fraser University. Susan has published extensively in the area of wound healing research as co-investigator with Dr. Geoffrey Bove, D.C, PhD at the University of New England. Susan’s recent opening of Aligned Collective in Squamish as a space where people can work together across sectors to resolve economic and social issues, as well as move into smart city solutions is an exciting use of her Community Economic Development education from SFU.

Jayme is a Business Advisor at Small Business BC. She advises clients on their business start-ups, providing them with relevant information and directing them to useful resources Jayme is a graduate of the Bachelors of Business Administration, Marketing Management program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Jayme spearheaded the launch of the Small Business BC Meetup Group which has successfully grown to over 2,000 members in just over 2 years. Elizabeth leads a life rich in simplicity. She experienced the profound healing powers of yoga, reiki and a plant-based diet following a chaotic period in her life that led to a state of poor physical and emotional health. This experience of true healing became the catalyst for a dramatic life change, and she found herself leaving behind her work as a Registered Nurse and her extreme athletic pursuits as an elite level hockey player and marathon runner. She now lives to inspire remembrance of one’s True Nature through her work teaching yoga and practicing body work (reiki and massage). Outside of the studio you will find her immersed in lush forests, communing with her bountiful garden and playing with her three young children.

Trained as an anthropologist and school teacher, sharing outdoor education and culture was a dream made possible by growing up on the land and being taught the stories and history of her people by her parents and elders in the community. Candace is a head kayak guide, storyteller and educator-facilitator. During the school season, Candace enjoys working with both educators and students teaching First Nations history, ecology, kayaking, canoeing, cultural protocols and art.

Tamara Komuniecki worked as a broadcast/print/web journalist, magazine editor and producer for outlets like CBC Radio and CBC TV, CKUA Radio, The Globe and Mail, National Post and Discovery Channel for nearly 20 years. She has held more than one job at a time for her entire career, and interesting side ventures have included working as a 911 operator, a communications specialist for the David Suzuki Foundation, and a nude model for sketch artists. She now owns a brick and mortar and online shop called Delish General Store, located on Granville Island, and creates product brands Strong as a Mother, Finn and the Thunderbolts (a brand created in partnership with her son Finn), and Sparkplug Creative.
